The child device must run Android. The parent device can run Android or iOS. iOS cannot be used as a child device because it does not expose the enforcement APIs PearGuard relies on.
On the parent device, create a new pairing and share the invite link or QR code with the child device. Scan the code or open the link on the child device to complete pairing. Invite links are single-use.
Policies apply on the child device immediately and continue to work offline. Changes you make on the parent device sync the next time both devices are online at the same time, whether on the same Wi-Fi network or anywhere on the internet.
A determined child can disable PearGuard on the child device by force-stopping the app or wiping its data from Android settings. PearGuard cannot prevent this, but the parent device is notified whenever these events happen so you know right away if enforcement has been bypassed.
