PearList collects no personal data. Your lists live on the phones of the people you share them with. Nothing is sent to any server. No account required.
All data is stored locally on the devices in your household group:
None of this data leaves your devices except to sync directly between the members of your group (see Peer Sync below).
PearList syncs your lists directly between the devices in your household group using the Hypercore Protocol, a peer-to-peer technology. There is no server or intermediary. Data is shared only with the specific devices that have joined your group.
All sync traffic is encrypted end-to-end, and every change is cryptographically signed by the device that made it. No third party ever receives or has access to your household's lists.
PearList contains no analytics, no advertising SDKs, no crash reporting services and no third-party trackers of any kind.
PearList does not require you to create an account or provide an email address. Each device's identity is a cryptographic key pair generated locally.
PearList is fully open source. You can inspect the complete source code at github.com/peerloomllc/pearlist.
